Board & Donor Appreciation

SteinersThe YMCA of Southern Indiana's recent board and donor appreciation luncheon provided attendees with good food as well as heartwarming stories and heartfelt appreciation for those who make up the Y family and support its mission. Joe LaRocca, left, CEO of the Y and executive director of its Floyd County Branch, featured the Steiner family in a video expressing the value of the Y in their lives. Standing are Ann and Bob Steiner, and in front is their son, Robbie. Their other son, Tommy, was unable to be present.



Honorees















Among the honorees at the recent appreciation luncheon hosted by the YMCA of Southern Indiana were employees recognized for their years of service. Those who have been part of the Y staff for 10 years are, standing from left to right (above left), Shannon Castleberry and Cheryl Brown, and, in front, Greg Smith and Dana Thomas. The annual event also honored 30 five-year employees, donors, and incoming and outgoing board members. The Y serves thousands of families and people of all ages at the Clark County Branch, 4812 Hamburg Pike in Jeffersonville, and the Floyd County Branch, 33 State St. in New Albany.

HonoreesY board members honored recently are, from left to right, Bill Barber, Bob Steiner, Mike Ricke, Norma Robbins, Cory Hoehn, and Tony Schy. Ricke and Hoehn, along with Pat Northam, were recognized as outgoing board members, and the others, plus Travis Haire, were welcomed as new board members. CEO Joe LaRocca praised them for their three-year terms and commitment.
