Annual Giving Campaign
Many families across the community are turning to the Y as an important resource for family support, stress reduction and health and wellness.
The YMCA of Southern Indiana has served area families for 40 years. We have always been here to help with memberships and program scholarships to those who are in need of some sort of assistance, and have never abandoned our mission: For Youth Development, For Healthy Living and For Social Responsibility. The dollars raised through this campaign fund the Y Open Doors Program.
In this time of economic challenge, the YMCA of Southern Indiana has responded to unprecedented requests for additional assistance through our Financial Assistance over the past year.
In 2011:
Number of people served: 7,624
40% of members receive assistance in Membership and Programs
With your support, the annual Annual Giving Campaign ensures that the Y is there for those who need us most. By supporting this campaign, you help guarantee that everyone, regardless of their circumstances or ability to pay, can benefit from the Y's values-centered programs. Leave A Legacy
Make A Difference in the Lives that Follow
Did you know that by including the YMCA of Southern Indiana in your will or estate plan, you can help to continue the YMCA of Southern Indiana’s work well into the future? You can continue to make a difference in the lives that follow.
You can leave a legacy gift. Whether you think of yourself as rich or poor, or somewhere in between, your gift can make a difference. Even a small amount can have a big impact over time.
You can leave money to your family and to your favorite charity. You can do both, and some charitable gifts may actually save your family money by decreasing inheritance taxes.
For more information, contact Joe LaRocca, Chief Executive Director, at jlarrocca@ymcasi.org or 283-9622, ext 219 or your financial advisor.
