For more than 110 years, the YMCA has been an innovator and leader in developing aquatic programs for the world. The YMCA provides aquatic programs, both instructional and recreational, for all ages, abilities, levels and interest. These programs lay a foundation of water skills and safety guidelines so participants can enjoy safe, healthy aquatics activities.

The YMCA of Southern Indiana has three indoor pools. A wide array of programs and activities will be offered for all ages and swimming abilities.

The refreshing and cool way to get fit. The purpose of this water exercise program is to encourage people of all ages to utilize the buoyant qualities of water to enhance their physical fitness. Water can make some movements possible that would be very difficult on land. It’s an ideal form of exercise for all ages and increases physical strength and endurance without putting stress and strain on joints.

It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate in Water Fitness Classes.

Classes are co-ed ages 15 and older. Youth classes are available for ages 7-14. All classes are free to facility members.
