YMCA Unveils New Branding
After extensive research, our new brand strategy was designed to help us better tell the Y's story to be able to reach more people.
 
We are not changing anything that we do at the Y.  We are simply changing the way we talk about what we do to help our community better understand our work. We will begin referring to ourselves as "the Y" just as most people have commonly referred to us for years. Our legal name remains unchanged: We are still the Young Men's Christian Association and our mission has not changed. We put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
 
The logo has been updated and reflects the vibrancy and diversity of our organization. The triangle, representing Spirit, Mind and Body, remains a part of the logo.  For the first time in 43 years, the letters YMCA have now been incorporated into the logo as well, creating a stronger connection between our name and our identity.
 
The Y has always been, and still is, about changing lives for the better.

Calling All Golfers and Friends
Come join us on Monday, August 2 at the Jeffersonville Elks Club for our 16th Annual Strong Kids Campaign Golf Shamble. This year's event will be packed with fun contests, great hole-in-one prizes, and best of all, raising funds for the Strong Kids Campaign, which provides funding for youth sports, summer day camps, memberships, and more. To register your team or provide a sponsorship, contact Melissa Wilson, Membership Director, at 283-9622, ext. 217. Deadline to register is Thursday, July 28.

Great Membership Option for College Students Home for the Summer
College students, ages 18 to 25, may bring a copy of their last class schedule to the front desk to receive a summer membership for a flat rate of $170 to be active from May 10 through September 1, 2010.
