This six week course will be held at Chariot Run Golf Club.
- Class is limited to the first 15 to sign-up in each class.

Week 1
Set-up, grip and stance - Class participants will begin their golf experience learning how to grip the golf club and then how to begin the pre shot routine. We will discuss the importance of the grip and its effect, stance, set-up in the athletic position and stretching exercises.
Week 2
Chip and pitch shots - Class participants will hit their first shots while using their set-up, grip and stance positions to hit chip shots. Hitting chip shots will help develop the initial swing motion and will give the class participants the first feeling of hitting a golf ball. We will discuss ball position, distance control, the difference in pitch and chip and how to practice.
Week 3
Short Irons - Class participants will step up their swing hitting short irons. Short irons can fly from 20 to 150 yards and are a vital part on improving ones score. We will discuss ball position, swing arc, distance control and getting the ball airbourne.
Week 4
Long irons and woods - Class participants will learn how to hit the longer irons which can be very difficult. We will discuss ball position, balance, swing arc and using a tee.
Week 5
Putting - Class participants will learn the basic putting motion. We will discuss the setup position, grip, technique, practice and the philosophy of putting.
Week 6
Course recap, basic etiquette and course tour - Class participants will recap what they have learned in their six week course, we will tour the facility to acquaint players in how to check-in to basic golf etiquette. Participants will have a good basic knowledge of the game of golf and their individual swings. Participants are encouraged to practice and take golf lessons where more individual instruction can take place. |
