The YMCA Strong Kids Campaign enables the Y to reach out to children in need. The dollars raised in this campaign fund the YMCA Open Doors Program. Your tax deductible gift Opens Doors for children and families who cannot afford the full program or membership fee.

Your gift helps children participate in youth sports like basketball t-ball, and soccer; helps children enjoy the adventures of summer day camp that might not have this opportunity; provides safe quality, child care to low and moderate income families; teaches a child water safety skills in a YMCA swim lesson; or provides a teenager with a positive adult role model.

 Here is how your gift made a difference last year:

• In 2006, the YMCA provided help to 1,874 people at a value of $84,923.
• 994 people received help with their membership fee.
• 52 teenage girls found and adult role model in the YMCA DIAMONDS Outreach Program.
• 52 children were served in The YMCA child care and summer camp programs.
• 17 children learned to swim at the YMCA as a result of funds raised through the Strong Kids Campaign.
